Black and White


Figure Ground relationships is a topic with which most art students are familiar, and ALL graphic designers definitely are! I like the way the negative space defines these letters and then just bleeds out into the surrounding white area as you can see in the letter grouping below the slide show. It’s because of this that the black shapes become very interesting as well. It’s also a bit of a trompe l’oeil effect. Well, whatever it is, I am intrigued. Maybe you’ll find some entertainment value in this as well.
